How Do I Report Scams or Fraud?

Posted August 4, 2026 Updated August 4, 2026

If you encounter an ad on Meditree that you suspect is a scam, fraudulent, or in violation of our policies, it's important to act quickly. Here's how to report it.

Email Us Directly

The best way to report a scam or fraud is to email our team directly at info@meditree.co.za with as much information as possible, including:

  • The ad or listing URL
  • Screenshots of any emails, SMS, or WhatsApp messages exchanged with the person
  • Details of what happened — whether you've been scammed, or you simply suspect you're dealing with a scam

The more information you can share, the faster our team can investigate and take action.

Suspicious Communications

If you respond to an ad and receive a suspicious message — for example, a request for money via a payment service, gift cards, or an unusual payment method — stop all communication with that person immediately and forward the details to us at info@meditree.co.za.

If You've Been a Victim of Fraud

Report the incident to Meditree and your local police service immediately.

Reporting via the "Report Abuse" Button

You're also welcome to use the "Report Abuse" button found beneath the ad image, under the Overview information, if you'd prefer to flag an ad this way. This alerts our team to review the ad and take appropriate action if necessary. However, if you suspect fraud or a scam, emailing us directly at info@meditree.co.za with the information above is the quickest way to get it investigated.
